Hendrik Nehls studied with jazz greats including Ron Carter, Buster Williams and George Mraz and has shared the stage with artists such as Roy Hargrove, Jean-Luc Ponty and Antonio Sanchez.
What matters most to him, however, is the daily work on the music: he has been part of Berlin’s jazz scene since 2006, has played several thousand concerts in more than 20 countries and continually creates new bands and concert formats. His particular passion is jazz, swing and bossa nova – as well as working with vocalists and a repertoire of around 1,000 songs.
